Saturday! Saturday! Saturday! (as sung by Elton John). If you are going to add Saturday services, please have a plan of attack. Let the worship/production teams know about it 6 months in advance and figure out your scheduling. Things to think about are….
Will the same band do all services? Will you do video worship on Sat. and full band on Sun? Maybe you could do a solo acoustic/vocal on Sat. and full band on Sun. When would they rehearse? If rehearsal was on Thursday and services were on Sunday, whats the schedule with a Sat. service? Will they cancel Thursdays and rehearse on Sat. a few hours before service? If they get paid, will they be getting paid more?
It’s a lot to think about so having your plans in order will benefit everyone involved.

Update. The existing worship teams (Padre Island, 5 Points, Alice, Kingsville, San Marcos & West Side) are doing well. We are always looking for musicians who want to share their God given talents with us so if you know of anyone in the Coastal Bend area, let us know. I think that this is always an issue, but we’re so thankful for the musicians we have and we know that the harvest will come through dedicated prayer and diligence.

About Me. Hmmm? Well, I am married to my beautiful wife Gloria and we have an awesome 6yr. old son named Jaden who has Down Syndrome. I’m a guitarist at heart with a passion for singing and songwriting. I’ve played guitar for almost 30 years now and I’ve been in a lot of bands in various genres. I’ve had the pleasure of opening shows for Kansas, Steppenwolf, Blue Oyster Cult, Nazareth, The Outfield, Chris Duarte, Edgar Winter, Building 429 and others. I’ve performed with the Corpus Christi Symphony and The Platters as a session guitarist.
Presently, I am the Multi Site Worship Pastor @ Bay Area Fellowship, which is a huge blessing. It’s allowed me to use my Music Ed. degree to the fullest and has become a real calling for my life. I am currently working with the worship leaders at 6 of our campuses by helping them create and maintain great worship teams at each campus. Above all, my relationship with God is the most important thing in my life and I pray that He would use the gifts He’s given me to reach the lost through engaging worship.
